Which one is right for you?………

In certain areas of the Rossendale valley it is not possible to achieve a signal from the Winter Hill transmitter and FREEVIEW channels are limited from the relay transmitters that are scattered around the valley – so – why not try FREESAT?

The FREESAT service can be provided in 2 ways – FREESAT and FREESAT +, FREESAT works through a normal zone 1 sky dish and only needs one feed to each of the FREESAT boxes situated at each TV, this means if an OCTO LNB is installed on the dish, 8 rooms in one property can view all of the available FREESAT channels.

FREESAT + enables you to record, rewind and pause channels (much like a SKY + box)and also watch one channel whilst recording another.however, the FREESAT + box requires x2 co-axial feeds for the service to work, so therefore if we had the same OCTO LNB on the dish we could have a FREESAT + box at the main TV and up to six FREESAT boxes around the rest of the house.

So basically, a FREESAT box requires one feed and a FREESAT + box requires 2 feeds.

I am seeing some shocking Telephone extension work done by certain satellite dish installers and private firms that have little or no understanding of ADSL lines, here at Fusion UK we are trained in all aspects of telecommunications cabling, chopping into cables here there and everywhere and installing extensions for various purposes is not always a good idea, this can significantly reduce the performance of your Broadband as you are introducing obstacles into the circuit, I am regularly seeing extensions that have been connected externally and not from the BT NTE as they should be, if you need extension work for any purpose then please call Fusion UK today.

IMPORTANCE OF A QUALITY AERIAL

The aerial and its Down-lead are taken for granted by almost everyone, but they are just as important as the TV and in fact (electronically speaking) are actually part of it. Many people will happily spend hundreds of pounds on their television but are, apparently, unwilling to spend any more than is absolutely necessary on their aerial installation. This is an important point because the difference in gain between a cheap “contract” aerial and a good quality one can be quite small, but it will make some difference, (particularly with digital signals) . In addition there are big differences in build quality between many of the aerials available on the market. Remember that a decent aerial installation should last 20 years or more and at the end of the day what`s the cost of a good quality aerial install compared to the cost of the average TV, or your sanity when your Digital picture keeps freezing ? .

What I am trying to say is, PLEASE DONT fall for the ….. ‘Aerial installed for £30.00, no hidden charges’ because this is impossible, the company will come along, use the cheapest of Aerials and mount it on your existing mast (whatever its condition), then, quite simply re-connect your old co-ax, resulting in a VERY poor job.

A VERY BUSY DAY TODAY FOR FUSION UK DATA LTD, FIRST WE STARTED OFF WITH A COMMON DOMESTIC BROADBAND PROBLEM CAUSED BY A CERTAIN SATELLITE TV COMPANYS BOTCHED ‘TELEPHONE EXTENSIONS’, INSTALLING A FILTER AT EITHER END WAS JUST ONE OF THE PROBLEMS IN THIS OVERLOADED MASTER SOCKET, ANYWAY AFTER A BIT OF PROFESSIONAL WIRING AND KNOW HOW THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED, THEN IT WAS ONTO A BLOCK OF NEW-BUILD HOUSES , ON WHICH WE HAVE CARRIED OUT FIRST FIX WIRING FOR THE TV RECEPTION AND CCTV, OBVIOUSLY THIS WAS CARRIED OUT TO THE HIGHEST STANDARD AND NOT A CABLE CAN BE SEEN, THE FREEVIEW RECEPTION IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY IN EACH OF THE DWELLINGS AS WE (AS ALWAYS) HAVE USED ONLY THE FINEST CABLE AND BENCHMARKED AERIALS, THE CCTV SYSTEM WILL BE NETWORKED TO PROVIDE THE DWELLINGS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THEY CAN SEE THEIR PROPERTYS FROM ANYWHERE WITH AN INTERNET CONNECTION, EVEN FROM IPADS/IPHONES AND LAPTOPS, THEN IT WAS BACK TO ANOTHER HOUSE TO SORT OUT ANOTHER TELEPHONE FAULT EHICH OF COURSE MADE ANOTHER CUSTOMER VERY HAPPY!!!

If you live in a Relay Transmitter area then don’t be told you have to use it for your Digital TV reception, Winter Hill is possible in these areas, a good Engineer will always carry out a full survey and talk you through your options, sometimes it can be a little more expensive to receive from Winter Hill in some areas, but it’s worth it for all the extra channels, Fusion Uk Ltd will ALWAYS give you the best for your money, wether its FREEVIEW/FREESAT or any other of the services we offer.

Terrible weather

Hoping this weather leaves us soon, trying to install any type of aerial or satellite dish in this rain and wind is impossible, luckily here at Fusion Uk we have had lots of nice warm indoor work – wallmounting screens and rectifying telephone faults….more of this please!!!
